Ena Sugiyama, Japan, District 2630

Ena holds a bachelor's degree in international studies from the department of British and American Studies at Nanzan University, Nagoya, Japan. She also studied at the University of Wisconsin at Madison as an exchange student. Ena's professional experience include her work in the private sector in Japan as a member of international sales engineering department, and as an intern in the conflict resolution program at The Carter Center in Atlanta , Georgia during the summer of 2003 . Ena has been involved in service activities by sponsoring a child in the Philippines. Following the completion of her Master's degree in Political Science at UNC as a Rotary World Peace Scholar, Ena accepted a position with the Japan Foundation.
