Derran Moss, Australia, District 9600

Political Science

An attorney and accomplished public speaker, Derran worked as a graduate legal officer with the Attorney General's Department in Canberra. He has performed pro bono work for practitioners and clients on a broad range of issues. Derran's exemplary public speaking skills have led him to compete in five World University Debating and Public Speaking Society championships. He also has served as a debating and public speaking instructor at primary schools and organized and conducted debating seminars for numerous community organizations, including a local prison. Derran, originally from Brisbane, was an Associate to a District Court judge through the Department of Justice. Derran received his Master's in Political Science at UNC under the Rotary World Peace Scholarship program and is currently working as a Senior Legal Advisor for the department of Crime and Misconduct Commission, Research and Prevention.
